Veterans Day: Coming Together in Unity even in Procurement

President Obama Addresses the Nation

Unity is Power after election times – so is it in Procurement!

We are happy to take time this Veterans Day to recognize the sacrifice of so many veterans, today and throughout history. We are grateful for the men and women who fight to uphold our standards of freedom.

Today, President Obama’s final Veterans Day as POTUS, he laid a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. He addressed the country encouraging Americans to set aside their differences and look to veterans as an example. Obama said, “We can practice kindness, we can pay it forward, we can volunteer, and we can serve. We can respect one another. We can always get each other’s backs. That is what Veterans Day asks all of us to think about.” He went on to urge Americans to “to forge unity from our great diversity.”

America has become what it is today because of our great diversity. Obama conveyed that being divided will only hurt our country.
