The way we shop is changing quickly. Black Friday trends and predictions paint a picture that would have been unrecognizable even a decade ago. A new study found that four out of five consumers use up to six channels for their holiday shopping. These channels include:
- Search engines
- Deal and savings apps
- Mobile web
- Retail apps
- Word of mouth
All of these channels are accessible (and some exclusively accessible) through mobile phones. Mobile devices, including tablets, are increasingly becoming a main shopping channel for consumers.
How is business purchasing keeping up?
As more consumer shoppers turn to their mobile devices for purchasing, the more important it is to incorporate a mobile-friendly experience into business purchasing. While consumer trends often follow after the practices of large businesses, purchasing is one area where businesses are catching up with rapidly changing consumer shopping trends.
Mobile purchasing at work is vital to an efficient workforce. A mobile solution allows work to carry on from anywhere, so bottlenecks are never a concern when key players are on-the-go.
