Self-service tools in the workplace are in higher demand according to a recent survey. Nearly 3 in 4 US workers prefer tools that allow them to complete work-related tasks on their own. This study by Paycheck, an HR technology solution, shows the role of technology is today’s workplace.
Tom Hammond, Paychex Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Product Management, talked about the modern day move to dependence on technology, illustrating the new expectation of self-sufficiency in business technology.
He said, “While at work, employees want to interact with tools — and one another — much like they do in their personal lives. That means being given the ability and permission to accomplish simple, common actions such as changing an address, checking a time-off balance, requesting time off, viewing a pay stub, or adjusting a 401(k) balance independently.”
Self-service technology represents empowerment in the workforce and modern employees recognize the difference. Technology can make all the difference empowering employees with the right tools to accomplish their job well.
When we first launched Vroozi self-service procurement solutions, Shaz Khan, COO & co-founder of Vroozi, shared, “We created this platform to operate as a true one hundred percent self-service cloud solution, allowing both buyers and sellers to quickly and efficiently build dynamic marketplaces and access a digital suitcase of catalog content and purchasing data anywhere.”
